 Tiece Mickens—a proud September Virgo born in Augusta, Georgia, and raised in the heart of Waynesboro—is a country girl with city-sized dreams and the hustle to match. Writing has always been second nature to her—it’s in her, not on her. In 2004, through life’s unexpected trials, she picked up the pen with intention and never put it down. What started as an outlet quickly became an empire in the making.

 

Her debut release, Scarlett, hit Amazon’s Kindle Edition in 2013 and quickly topped the charts, marking her arrival as a bold new voice in African American urban fiction. That same year, she released Dope Boyz and The Women That Love ’Em, which became her first #1 Amazon Bestseller and solidified her place in the genre. In 2014, she brought Checkmate—the very first novel she ever wrote, originally published in paperback in 2010—to Kindle, where it finally gained the recognition it deserved and cemented her reputation as a storyteller to watch.​​
